Ōhira (大衡村 Ōhira-mura ) is a village located in Kurokawa District, Miyagi, Japan.
As of 2010, the village has an estimated population of 5,321 and a population density of 88.4 persons per km². The total area is 60.19 km².

Ōhira-Mura, being small enough to be the last village left in Miyagi Prefecture, has but one kindergarten, one elementary, and one Junior High school. As of 2009, the board of education has been utilizing the resources of the JET Programme by hiring a solitary ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) to assist in the teaching of English and internationalization of its students.
Toyota opened a new assembly plant in Ōhira-mura on February 17, 2011, its first new plant in Japan in 18 years. The plant, (of the Central Motors), employing 900 people, will assemble the Toyota Yaris and Corolla for both the domestic market and North America, with a capacity of 120,000 vehicles a year.[1][2]
